Doubloons were minted entirely by hand, creating a perfectly round coin The Spanish Doubloon was a seven-gram gold coin minted in Spain, Mexico, and Peru used widely in the Americas until the mid-nineteenth century. The word “doubloon” has its roots in the Latin word “duplus,” meaning double, a reference to denomination of this coin worth two escudos.

CIVIL WAR COLLECTORS GIFTBOX
A wooden box bursting with historical treasures from a three-ring Union bullet, a two-ring Confederate bullet, a round ball (both sides), a Union uniform eagle button, a Confederate uniform flat button and a U.S. two-cent coin (the first piece of currency minted with the words ‘In God We Trust’ each more than 145 years old. Adorned with Civil War imagery, the box comes with war-related U.S. postage stamps, each more than 35 years old, a parchment reprint of the Gettysburg Address; historical information on the coin, bullets and buttons; a 3,300-word timeline from 1860-1865 by noted Civil War expert Craig L. Symonds; and a certificate of authenticity.

KENNEDY COIN AND STAMP COLLECTION GIFTBOX
This exquisite boxed collection pays tribute in grand style to John F. Kennedy and his inauguration. Featuring an authentic five-coin set from 1961, when Kennedy was sworn in, three original Kennedy half-dollars from 1964 and 1976, four solid silver coins, 1961 Roosevelt dime, 1961 Washington quarter, 1961 Franklin half dollar and the 1964 JFK half dollar. In addition to vintage Kennedy-related stamps it includes a reprint of JFKs inauguration speech. Coins are in collectible condition, with all dates and mint marks clearly visible.
